As health protocols evolve, this information is subject to change at any time.

viaSport will provide guidance for sport, following their Restart Chart. It is imperative to understand that the Provincial Health Office (PHO) Orders and recommendations are non-negotiable (law), and the information provided by BC Archery and viaSport are to assist participants to navigate a return to sport in a safe manner. (*ALWAYS refer to the ORDERS and not just the highlights provided on the government website)

Everyone has their own comfort level and may not be willing to rush back to how things were pre-COVID. Please respect their choices.

Effective April 8:

INDOOR SPORT:

  • masks are no longer required to be worn at indoor facilities UNLESS the individual location chooses to continue with the requirement. An organization may deem it beneficial to their participants to continue wearing masks indoors. As well, some rented facilities may choose to continue with mask requirements.
    • the mask may be removed while an athlete is on the shooting line
    • please respect the decision of any organization that wishes to continue the mask requirement
  • Proof of vaccination is no longer required UNLESS the individual location chooses to continue with the requirement.
  • tournaments, for any/all ages, ARE allowed, with no limit to the number of participants

OUTDOOR SPORT:

  • masks are not required
  • proof of vaccination is not required
  • tournaments, for any/all ages, ARE allowed, with no limit to the number of participants

 

All organizations should ensure that they have adequate health and safety measures in place, which shall include Communicable Disease Prevention Plans.
